As the old saying goes, "there's no better way to show someone you care than to wear a weird paper mask with a picture of their face on it." That is how it goes, right? I think so, because in the lead up to the otherwise pretty boring Prince William-Kate Middleton wedding, stores in Britain can't seem to keep these vaguely unsettling masks of the couple on the shelves.
British company Mask-a-rade has apparently shipped 120,000 of these to retailers already, and are being flooded with requests for 20,000 more every day. They also make models in the likenesses of Prince Harry, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, and Prince Charles, all of them with the same empty, empty eyes. So if you're watching the royal wedding next week, you can look forward to a sea of identical, shiny Kate and Will faces in the shots of the crowd. Festive!
