An attorney from Chicago, whose ex-fiance pulled out of their planned wedding four days before it was to occur, is suing the runaway groom, thirty-one-year-old Vito Salerno, for almost $100,000 over the busted nuptials.
The thirty-one-year-old jilted bride-to-be, Dominique Buttitta, filed suit in Cook County Circuit Court last Friday, claiming breach of promise to marry and intentional infliction of emotional distress, according to the Chicago Tribune, and is looking to recoup more than $95,000 in wedding expenses, including nearly $12,000 on flowers, and $54,000 on her bridal gown and accessories.
If someone isn't in love, they shouldn't get married. But it seems pretty cold and spiteful to back out that close to the bachelorhood buzzer. This could be a costly move for Mr. Salerno; time will tell. Gene Simmons is somewhere laughing right now, probably in his sumptuously-appointed man cave.
