Calvin Klein banned billboard

As with with most of Calvin Klein's ads, a recent billboard has little to do with clothes and much to do with taking them off. But its latest push for the X line of jeans has met with stiff opposition in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, where the advertising bureau has now banned it.

There are two sides to the debate: one side says the ad suggested the woman is enjoying sex and is laying her head down on an observer's leg. The other side says the ad condones gang rape and is far too risque for public display.

After 50 complaints were registered, the Advertising Standards Bureau decided it would be best to ban the whole thing entirely. I will refrain from making any judgments myself, as it seems that anything that rides the fine line as this ad does will probably provoke widely divergent viewpoints in the comments.
