Couple on a blind date learn that they're brother and sister

After months of flirtatious online correspondence, Sarah Kemp and George Bentley decided to finally meet up. Turns out the two had an awful lot in common. A little too much, in fact. In an incestuous, Arrested Development-esque plot twist, the pair just so happened to be long-lost brother and sister. And you thought you had some awkward first dates. Kemp describes the incident in the Daily Record as such:
"To meet your long-lost brother, in a bar, after over thirty years would be something by itself....But to meet him in those circumstances - on a date, for crying out loud - really is something else. We obviously had far more in common than first thought."
The two were separated following their parents divorce; Kemp kept her ex's last name, so Bentley had been unable to track her down prior to their date.
Don't worry. In case you were wondering, the date didn't get very far before they figured it out. And you can rest assured this probably won't happen to you, unless your luck is super bad (or maybe good?). An actual bookie places the odds of this happening at "500-million-to-one."

That's pretty funny in a stereotypical kinda way. +1 internet.
I've heard it's not uncommon for long-lost relatives to be attracted to each other.
It's even got a name: Genetic sexual attraction.
I'll be that one! :)
I'm sure that this sort of thing happens a lot in the south. Except for the long lost part.
Because here in the South we are all slack jawed incestuous bigots that love to harp on about cultural stereotypes.
win for the response. +1
Ok sound messed up but when I first found out I had a brother. We had actually disguised the fact that we lived so close together that we were surprised that this very incident did not happen to us. me being so very pale and him being dark complected. Wow and that was 30 years ago. never thought I would have actually hear of it happening to someone though. I guess it just goes to show that you never know.
Joe Dirt would approve of this :)
I think this is more rampant that we think. If you think about how often guys in college donate sperm for money...how many siblings are out there? Many have donated hundreds of times.
And for 'Hmmmmm', this was in Scotland...
