Japan has found a way to french kiss via computer

We're getting closer and closer to the future! Thanks to some Rico Suaves over in Japan, humans are now a step away from being able to enjoy long-distance make-out seshes via computer. It's the perfect way to stay close to your boyfriend who went off to college this year and swears he still wants to be with you, but it's your senior year, which only happens once, so you should make the most of it, you know?

Dubbed a "kiss transmission device," the new technology consists of one machine that goes in your mouth to capture any tongue movements and a corresponding machine that  reproduces those tongue movements in someone else's mouth. It does this by storing and relaying information values, which the video notes can be recorded and replayed, meaning that you could, in a sense, make out with unwitting strangers.

Or even celebrities. "For example," says the kiss transmission device's smooth operator, "if you have a popular entertainer use this device and record it, that could be hugely popular if you offer it to fans."

So which celebrity do you want to computer-kiss? What if there's a mix-up and you accidentally kiss your brother? Will creepy people use this innovation to continue kissing passed-away loved ones, like characters from some weird Philip K. Dick-William Faulkner mash-up? Do I have to buy the machine breakfast? The future is hard!
