Science: some women are able to achieve orgasm from working out

In this age of rising oil prices and increasing strain on the health-care system, scientists are looking into that all-important question: can some women really climax just from working out? Apparently the answer is yes.

"Despite attention in the popular media, little is known scientifically about exercise-induced orgasms," wrote the study's authors about so-called "coregasms," which are most frequently linked to ab exercises. (Spin class is also a common catalyst.) "It may be that exercise, which is already known to have significant benefits to health and well-being, has the potential to enhance women's sexual lives as well […] and has been overlooked in clinical approaches to women's orgasm."

So yeah, it seems like this is every bit as incredible as it sounds: "We had at least one woman in the study who was a virgin, and she really loved that she could have these experiences at the gym," said researcher Debby Herbenick.

However, in spite of their unreal good luck, the majority of women interviewed for the study mentioned self-consciousness and embarrassment at the gym as a result of their sexual superpowers. I guess that makes sense, but a little awkwardness seems like a miniscule price to pay for the ability to have sit-up-induced orgasms. Even if you do accidentally climax in a busy gym, can anyone really be anything but impressed and jealous? So go ladies, do your damn crunches, and try to forget how much the rest of us quietly hate you.
