Boob groping

Three teenage boys, one of them 14-years-old and two only 13, were expelled from their Sydney Catholic school for touching a girl's covered breast last May. The girl, so the story goes, allowed the touching last spring and did not complain until August 17. All three students and the teacher present in the classroom that day all claim it was consensual.

When the girl made her accusations, all three boys admitted to the deed and stuck to their story, but they were still suspended. The female student received no punishment.

On August 17, [one boy's mother] says, "all hell broke loose", with the "accusations deemed to be of a sexual assault nature" and the boys were expelled.

"We were never able to question the girl's statements," says the mother. "What they said was taken as gospel.

"The boys have maintained all through the investigative process that this was consensual activity with no skin contact and they were sorry for their actions. The accuser has never been held accountable for the havoc she has wreaked and the boys have had their reputations shredded."

Two days after the boys were expelled, year 8 students spontaneously went on strike. "They banded together and sat in the playground and refused to go to class," says the mother. "The teachers had to come out to teach them." [Herald Sun]

Good for them! Maybe this generation isn't doomed after all.

By the way, no one wins in this story — the girl has, along with another female who also says she was groped, taken a "sick leave" for three weeks and will probably have to leave the school.
