Aubrey Plaza to star in a movie called “The Hand Job”

From indieWIRE (via The AV Club) comes exciting news for comedy and handjob enthusiasts alike: comedienne Aubrey Plaza, who costars on NBC's Parks and Recreation and enlivened even the otherwise unbearable Funny People, will star in The Hand Job, a comedy about

"…a type-A, studious girl who graduates high school and hasn’t done anything with a guy. The summer before college she decides that she has to find out how to do everything in order to be properly prepared, so she makes a very serious bullet list of everything, like… hand-job, titty-fuck, blow-job, fingering, and just kinda checks one off every time she does it. She’s being the aggressor and is very straight-forward about it, like 'Okay, so I’m going to give you a hand-job now.' And the guys are very taken aback about it, especially her straight-laced friends."

That description comes from SNL's Bill Hader, whose wife, Maggie Carey, wrote the script and will direct. (Presumably, it'll also be up to her to come up with a title that will actually make it into theaters.) Beyond Plaza, the cast is full of heavy hitters, including Arrested Development's Alia Shawkat, Community's Donald Glover, Andy Samberg, and Hader himself.

I'd be lying if I said the idea of Aubrey Plaza getting sexually experimental didn't appeal to me. (For the comedy value, natch.) I'm also wondering if this idea was based on the most heavily-trafficked Nerve blog post of all time, "Guy Posts His Sister's Hookup List to Facebook and Tags all the Guys." Then again, that girl didn't sound very studious.
