Maggie Gyllenhaal, from Secretary, set to act in new vibrator movie

In this post-Meg Ryan era of romantic comedy, it's just not enough to have exhausted career women fall in love (despite their gay best friends' advice) with bookish-yet-successful men with golden retrievers. No, moviegoing couples have been treated to: duplicitous artificial inseminations; all-expense-paid trips to Abu Dhabi; middle-aged virginity; and, now, Maggie Gyllenhaal falling in with love with the world's first vibrator.

Or at least that's what I assume will happen in Hysteria. Details are scant for now, but we do know that it's set in Victorian England (probably the least sexiest period of modern Britain), that vibrators were intended to cure feminine hysteria, and that Gyllenhaal is one of the few actresses capable of turning normally reserved, stoic men like myself into hysteric perverts:
