Well, well, MPAA. Well, well. After coming under fire for slapping an NC-17 rating onto Blue Valentine, after accusations of misogyny from Ryan Gosling and Harvey Weinstein, and after giving Black Swan's similar oral-sex scene an R rating, it looks like you've finally come around.

The New York Times reports that the MPAA's decision to overturn their original NC-17 rating for Blue Valentine was unanimous. The movie will now carry an R rating, which should help bolster its bid to win awards and the allowances of sneakily unaccompanied minors across America.

To celebrate, watch the Blue Valentine trailer again and see if it feels different now that you know, inside your heart of hearts, that it's not NC-17.
