Villain from new Spider-Man movie accidentally unveiled on Pez dispenser

With great power comes great responsibility... unless you work at Sony Pictures.

The Lizard, who serves as Peter Parker's antagonist in 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man, has just made his debut in movie form on a package of candy. Although the studio showed footage of the character, played by Rhys Ifans, to a select group of Comic Con attendees last summer, videos weren't allowed.

Now the big reveal, which Sony most likely wanted to save for a future trailer — as it did for Venom in Spider-Man 3 — unintentionally comes via licensed merchandise: a Pez dispenser. (The character looks quite different than the comic book version.) Our spider-sense tells us that someone in the marketing department just lost a job.
