The Farrelly Brothers are developing Dumb and Dumber 2

To keep up with the trend of remaking everything from the '90s until there's nothing left, The Farrelly Brothers (once synonymous with the phrase "franks and beans") took a break from their latest project to announce that pre-production has begun on Dumb and Dumber 2.
The filmmaking pair (along with their former star/Emma Stone fan Jim Carrey) have been very vocal about the possibility of a sequel, but until now it's only been speculation. The Brothers have had their hands full recently with The Three Stooges, another remake based on material best left untouched. Now that that production has ended, the Farrellys plan to move forward on the sequel.
The writing team of Sean Anders and John Morris (whose works include She's Out Of My League and Hot Tub Time Machine) had been brought in to take care of the script, which is supposed to see our moronic heroes puttering around twenty years after the fact. Although no official word has been given on whether or not Jim Carrey or Jeff Daniels will take their seats in the Shaggin' Wagon once again, one can only hope for as much in order to avoid a disaster the likes of Dumb & Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd (which the Farrellys had nothing to do with).
Why the directing duo would choose to do this now and not at any other point in time is beyond me. They seemed to have left their reputation for ribald, gross-out humor back on the set of Me, Myself and Irene. The past ten years has seen their work turn into either pre-fabricated directorial work or lukewarm vehicles for SNL stars. I think the best we can hope for is something along the lines of Clerks 2 — it's nice to see those old characters again, but you kind of wished they'd just stayed in 1994.

I actually thought dumb and dumberer was pretty funny for what it was
The Three Stooges is a bio pic, not a remake...
The description from the website and everywhere else describes it as one of their misadventures. Sounds like a comedy. They've made a biopic about the stooges before and it was a drama... Also I don't think the people from Jersey Shore would be in it if it were a biopic.
well if theres any glimmer of hope, its that the director of the D&Der prequel wet on to direct Flight of the ConChords. take from that what you will...
I heard that the working title was "jr and jr-er".
The script was originally titled, "How many names can a conservatroll have?"
Wow what a mouthful ^ I hope they don't call it that.
That would be awesome!!!!
Now you say something
