Yes, Scream 4 features all those lovely women and more: Courtney Cox, Kristen Bell, Emma Roberts, Marley Shelton, Shenae Grimes, Alison Brie… And then there are the guys: David Arquette, Adam Brody, Rory Culkin… (Okay, they did a little bit better on the big-name ladies, but horror movies always do.) Somehow they managed to corral this mob and make the fourth installment of the Scream series. Here's the trailer:
Does anyone else feel suddenly very tired? Not because I think this trailer was boring — there was lots of running and screaming and knives, after all — but doesn't this movie feel like it will be a lot of hard work for little payoff? Not only do I have to remember and pick up on all the references to Scream and the movies it spawned, but also the horror movies that came before it and the ones that usurped the ones that it spawned! My head hurts! Also, does saying "the kill needs to be more extreme" mean this is going to be like Saw? Because that's not cool.
I can tell you who will be playing the Drew Barrymore role this time around, though:
