Wes Craven — he of Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream and… I probably don't need to explain at all, really — has a new movie coming out this October, My Soul To Take, about a serial killer who legend says will return after his death to kill the seven children who were born the night of his death. Don't think too hard about the set-up of this one, folks, because it does not make a damn lick of sense:
So it looks like this killer — who, let's be honest, could very possible be named something like "Franky Krueller" — has either returned from the dead, or is possessing one or more of the kids, or is the father of the kids, or one of the kids is doing it, like I said this doesn't make a ton of sense.
But I still trust Craven, so I will probably see it despite this less than promising trailer. The man's track record is just too strong to totally dismiss this thing. (Though, did anyone else not realize that Craven directed Music of the Heart? How weird is that.) What do you think, readers? Will you be checking out My Soul To Take? Would it change your answer if I said it's going to be in 3D, as well? (It would for me, but probably not in the way the studio intends.)
