FYI, John Mayer is going on an “indefinite break from live performing”

Sad news today for John Mayer fans, or anyone who lost their virginity to Room For Squares in tenth grade: the notorious owner of a "Benetton heart and a fuckin' David Duke cock" has been forced to cancel his tour due to chronic throat problems. Mayer, who had throat surgery for a granuloma on his vocal cords last September, posted on Tumblr yesterday that he is taking an "indefinite" hiatus from live performing after discovering that the granuloma had returned:

"During rehearsal on Tuesday, it came to mind that I should see my throat doctor because something didn’t feel/sound right. I went in for a visit on Wednesday and a scope of my vocal cords revealed that the granuloma has grown back where it had mostly healed. This is bad news. Because of this, I have no choice but to take an indefinite break from live performing. Though there will be a day when all of this will be behind me, it will sideline me for a longer period of time than I care to have you count down."

Mayer went on to reassure fans that his next album, Born and Raised, would be released on May 22 as planned, adding that he'll start working on a follow-up album during his hiatus from live performing. So get well soon, John Mayer! We miss your crazy guitar-playing O-faces and your wacky, off-the-cuff racist remarks already.
