Have a listen to "Love Interruption," the debut single from Jack White's first solo album

Elephant fan Jack White premiered the first single from his maiden solo album, Blunderbuss, on his website, Jack White III, today, and, as Martha says, that's a good thing. White described Blunderbuss, which is due April 24, as
"an album I couldn't have released until now. I've put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas."
"Love Interruption" is pretty mellow, a countrified acoustic number with warm keyboards featuring vocal assistance from Nashville artist Ruby Amanfu. It's more Raconteurs than Dead Weather, and kind of reminds me of the Robert Plant-Alison Krauss bluegrass stuff. Being Jack White, I'm sure there will be some heavy stompers on there too.
Blunderbuss was produced and recorded by White at his Third Man Studio in Nashville, and a seven-inch of the single featuring non-LP B-side, "Machine Gun Silhouette," will be released to rabid Whiteheads with their red-and-white record players on Feb 7.

What's wrong with dude's teeth? They're so... small.
Good. But she is no Alison Krauss. But this sounds really promising. Solid arrangement, typical JW-style lyrics. Right on.
Of course it sounds like Robert Plant! Jack White's entire musical approach is based on Led Zeppelin records (which is my least-favorite musical styling). I'm happy to know that the songs were made from scratch. I'm sure Wonder bread makes the same claim.
