Ja Rule on prison: "This place is amazing!"

Most people who have been to prison seem pretty chastened by the experience, but those people aren't Ja Rule. The rapper and frequent Ashanti collaborator has been imprisoned on a two-year sentence for gun possession since June, and told the New York Daily News, "This place is amazing!"
Apparently Ja (née Jeffrey Atkins) has made some bosom buddies while in prison, including white collar criminals Alan Hevesi and Dennis Kozlowski, famous for political corruption and corporate fraud, respectively. The pair reportedly give him stock tips and business advice, and they all watch The Daily Show and The Colbert Report every night.
"Outside, you don't meet guys like this every day," Ja said. "Hevey's a Democrat like me, so that helps. He told me how it's like pulling teeth with the two parties trying to get bills passed."
Since going to jail, Ja's also gotten his GED and recorded a new album, Pain is Love 2. So basically, prison time just means a chance to hobnob with the rich and powerful, and buckle down on your side projects uninterrupted? Excuse me while I quit my day job and start holding up delis.

With the economy not likely to recover any time soon, the jailbird lifestyle might not be so bad.
He's doing the time of his life!
How the fuck did this asshat record a new album while in jail? What the fuck is this country coming to?
Hopefully a shank is coming his way.
