Lady Gaga cancels Target deal over company's stance on gay issues

Lady Gaga has backed out of a planned deal with Target to release an exclusive edition of her new album, Born This Way, reportedly due to the company's less-than-progressive stance on LGBT rights and continued affiliation with anti-gay politicians.
"Part of my deal with Target is that they have to start affiliating themselves with LGBT charity groups and begin to reform and make amends for the mistakes they've made in the past...our relationship is hinged upon their reform in the company to support the gay community and to redeem the mistakes they've made supporting those groups," Gaga said when she initially partnered with the company for release of the album, named after its "gay anthem" title track. Reportedly though, the company has kept up too many of its old political ties for Gaga's tastes, so those of you waiting with bated breath for the album's special edition will have to look elsewhere.

It's great that she's sticking to her convictions.
I agree. I don't really care for her music but I am glad she is out there doing what she does.
I am not a fan of her in general, but good to her for sticking to her guns. Even if her music sucks, at least she's got some good ideas.
They gave money to a guy who's ok with the status quo on marriage big whoop.
...Target just started selling Baby Gaga.
