Nickelback and Justin Bieber top list of musical dealbreakers

According to a new survey from the UK-based dating site Tastebuds.fm, Nickelback is surprisingly not the sex magnet you'd expect.
Tastebuds.fm asked users to name up to twelve bands whose music they can't stand. Nickelback and close second Justin Bieber claimed a commanding lead of the nominations, which also included Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Coldplay, U2, Creed, Katy Perry, Lil Wayne, and Britney Spears.
Things got a lot more interesting once the users were broken down by gender. Women were more likely to be turned off by female acts, because, as common sense dictates, ladies blindly hate all other ladies. Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, and Nicki Minaj all graced the women's top 20 picks, but were nowhere to be found on the men's. Meanwhile, the guys were not big fans of Oasis, Mumford and Sons, Kings of Leon, Eminem, and Kanye West. None of these musicians cracked the women's top 20.
"We were curious to know which bands people would be most horrified to discover when browsing their date's iPod," site co-founder Alex Parish said. "Although not sharing musical tastes with your partner is not the be-all and end-all, it can certainly help in maintaining a harmonious relationship, and we've seen it's a great conversation starter."
Considering Tastebuds.fm was also behind the hilarious "Coldplay fans least likely to go all the way on a first date" survey, I'd be cool with them handling the super-specific "music and dating surveys" niche from now on.

I'm a lady, but the top of my list would be the Script, John Mayer, Five for Fighting, Plies, Green Day, Nelly, Gucci Mane, LMFAO, Ke$ha, Soulja Boy, Kreayshawn, Wakka Wakka Whatever his name is, and any of those awful cock rock bands with a wall of generic guitar and a male vocalist who over-enunciates e-ve-ry syllable (Creed is a perfect example, but they're too obvious to list.)
And Nickelback makes me physically angry. Their "music" is just shameful and awful.
To be fair, if a date went through my iPod they'd probably dump me immediately after seeing all my trashy rap/jungle/trance/dubstep. But I use my iPod for running, so I choose songs for tempo rather than musical or lyrical value. What's on my iPod isn't necessarily my favorite music. So if the person was athletic I'd cut them a break on some cheesy choices (Nickelback is still a dealbreaker though!)
