Want to catch the South Park boys' Tony-nominated musical, The Book of Mormon, but don't live near New York City and/or have the hundreds you need to drop for a ticket? Well, luckily for you it's almost certainly going to be a movie soon NPR is streaming the entire cast recording for free, which means you can listen to the often raunchy tunes decontextualized from the dancing, scenery, costumes, props, and most of the dialogue. But seriously: it's better than nothing. So listen here!

Because god damn is this thing catchy. I've heard pretty overwhelmingly positive things about the show — that it's old-school Broadway but still has all the edge and AIDS jokes you could ask for from the creators of South Park, that the actors are incredible, that it's madly hilarious, etc. — mixed in with a few more tepid reviews, but I'm a theater queer at heart and that opening number was better than all the coffee in my local bodega. (I still have coffee, though. I'm no fool.) So do yourself a favor and check it out.

And if any of you have seen the show — and seriously, I am so jealous — let us know what you thought in the comments.
