The Strokes' new music video for "Under Cover of Darkness", their first single in five years, finds the band rocking out in a fancy mansion. Seriously, this is one dapper video. I know this because there are candelabras and bow ties — the ultimate signifiers of class. The clip even culminates with the band emerging on stage at a Carnegie Hall-like venue. They're even being led by a conductor with a baton. Like I said, classy.
But don't worry, the boys haven't lost their swagger. There's enough tousled hair, unruly microphone-stand throwing, and wine-spilling for even the most jaded hipster. The wine's just coming out of gold chalices this time.
