After getting engaged a few years back at a gay rights rally, Cynthia Nixon and longtime girlfriend Christine Marinoni finally tied the knot this weekend.
Nixon's publicist released a short statement, saying, "On May 27, 2012, Cynthia Nixon and her girlfriend, Christine Marinoni, were legally married in the state of New York. Nixon wore a custom dress by Carolina Herrera."
The couple, who has a son together (as well as Nixon's children from a previous marriage), had been waiting until their home state legalized same-sex unions to make it official. Nixon said at the time of their initial engagement, "In an ideal world, we'd like to [wed] in New York, when it becomes legalized. We're not going to wait forever, but we're hoping it's just around the corner," adding later, "I don't mind a long engagement, which this one is surely turning out to be!" Mazel tov to the whole family on the long-awaited event!

I thought Cynthia Nixon was gay, why did she marry a dude?
She's a gay man trapped in a woman's body.
Besides, hardly anybody is anywhere near as good-looking as Cynthia Nixon.
Genuinely. Happy. For. Them. So. Must. NOT. Make. Jonah. Hill. Joke.
FAIL.
Hey, it gives all of us hope that we might marry people WAAAAAAAY out of our league.
Cynthia Nixon married Danny Partridge?

Who's the dude in the picture? Why isn't there a picture of the woman Nixon married?
