Speaking on a recent episode of The 700 Club, Pat Robertson sounded like he had received 700 clubs to the head as he explained to co-host Terry Meeuwsen the reason why President Obama and the left support Planned Parenthood funding and a pro-life stance: so straight married women can have abortions and create a level playing field for lesbians.

I don't get it either. It's scary to think that Robertson finished ahead of George H. W. Bush in the Iowa caucus during the 1988 presidential race. Sounding like a senile Freudian, he tried "psychological stuff" to impute some pretty weird motives to progressives for supporting abortion. It's a nice thought that straight married women would support the equality of their lesbian sisters, but not by having abortions. Coming from someone who made no secret of his belief in a worldwide Jewish conspiracy, this latest nonsense from the eighty-one-year-old Robertson isn't too surprising, though his coming out in favor of marijuana legalization kind of was.

Moops.

I've worked with (and, in once case, for) pregnant lesbians. So I guess you straight married women can stop getting all those abortions you are evidently having.
