Rahm Emanuel elected mayor of Chicago

In spite of challenges to his candidacy that went all the way to the Illinois Supreme Court, Rahm Emanuel has beaten out his five opponents for mayor of Chicago with a massive 55 percent of the vote. Emanuel kept his acceptance speech uncharacteristically clean but did joke about the less-than-smooth electoral process, saying, "You sure know how to make a guy feel at home." Watch the clip above for Emanuel's acceptance speech, in which he pays tribute to his predecessor Mayor Richard M. Daley and makes some jokes about the weather.
