Following the swirl of rumors that Ricky Gervais of all people might fill Steve Carrell's position after leaving The Office, more potential actors have been added to the list. (Thank god. While we welcome all Gervais-related pursuits, that would just be too goddamn weird.)

Possible replacements include Rhys Darby, who is so excellent as the prattling manager on Flight of the Concords that we almost completely hate him, and Danny McBride of Eastbound and Down whom we have similarly passionate mixed feelings about. How do you compare two completely fleshed-out, human douchebags? On their own merits. Ten more names will be thrown around before the decision is made, I guarantee you.

So hard to chose between the two, but I think Darby is a better fit for the show's tone. But McBride would be awesome as a louche regional manager from another branch.

I want to see a girl. I think a woman in charge could do the show some good.

Well, Jan was (professionally and personally) in charge of Michael Scott for a while. Everybody answers to somebody.

Yea, Portia or Rhys, they are both hilarious, and both their awesome shows will no longer be on TV! So sad to see FOTC and Better Off Ted leaving the tv lineup :(
