Malcolm in the Middle star gets engaged, just to make you feel old

Remember that show Malcolm in the Middle, about that twelve-year old genius who talked to the camera a lot? His dad was played by the guy from Breaking Bad, and his mom was played by the mom from Whitney, and he had like, seven brothers, all of whom were basically sociopaths? It was funny, but not that funny, and you didn't realize when it went off the air in 2006 because you'd already forgotten about it four years ago?

If you do remember Malcolm in the Middle, then you're going to feel really old and irrelevant now, because actor Frankie Muniz, who played Malcolm for six years on the FOX series, just Tweeted that he is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, publicist Elycia Marie Turnbow. "It's official… I'm engaged!" he Tweeted Saturday to a stream of congratulatory Tweets from his fans (who, if they were anything like me, would've asked if he was planning on inviting any Krelboynes to the ceremony).

Muniz, who is twenty-five (!), has been dating Turnbow for four years, and in February the couple made headlines when police responded to a domestic-violence call at their Phoenix home. Although no arrests were made, Muniz is alleged to have held a gun to his head during the argument, which should make you feel horrified and depressed in addition to feeling old and sad.
