HBO green lights Michael Chabon's drama about magicians fighting Hitler

Michael Chabon — author of Wonder Boys, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, and The Yiddish Policemen's Union — and his wife (and fellow author) Ayelet Waldman have successfully sold HBO on a new drama that would follow a group of conmen and magicians during World War II. Naturally, they would be using their skills to fight Hitler. Of course, the series is still in its very early stages:
John Lesher and Adam Kassan are exec producing through their Le Grisbi Prods. banner. Project, dubbed "Hobgoblin," is in the very early stages of development.
Chabon and Waldman will co-write the script, marking the first time they've collaborated professionally, and they will also exec produce.
First of all, the husband-and-wife team-up thing is adorable. (Have they worked together in the past? I don't think so, but feel free to correct me.) Second, Chabon's forays into historical writing have always impressed me, so this sounds like a very exciting project. And third, I can't get the image of GOB from Arrested Development fighting Nazis.

I might tune in just to see exactly what tactics a magician uses to fight an anti-semitic super-power. Make him disappear?
I'm thinking pull a rabbit out of a hat. Little does Hitler know the rabbit is actually a bomb.
