Nickelodeon will begin re-airing its entire ’90s lineup this month

I was a deprived child whose family didn't have a TV when I was growing up (and even if we had, let's be real, Nickelodeon wasn't a channel in Canada), and even I am excited for this. Earlier this year it was announced that Nickelodeon would re-air it's '90s hits. After much anticipation, it was announced that the premiere date for its "90s Are All That" lineup will be Monday, July 25th, at midnight.

All of those shows that you could only vaguely remember with fondness (many are not available on DVD) will be reappearing: Clarissa Explains It All, All That, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Kenan and Kel, Salute Your Shorts, and more. Yes, more. Evidently, Nickelodeon really churned out classic hit after classic hit in the '90s. Kind of like Nirvana! And just like Nirvana, things kind of fell apart after that.

The catch about this rocking lineup is that the shows won't be airing on Nickelodeon. They'll be airing on Teen Nick. A quick visit to their website tells me Teen Nick is mostly all about Degrassi and fun quizzes for teen girls. That's fine, but it's also not a part of basic cable. That, plus the fact that the shows are going to be airing after midnight (which might be too late to stay up just to glimpse Amanda Bynes in her prime), and it's unlikely I'll actually watch. And here I thought my dreams of living an idiot-box-fueled youth would finally come to fruition.
