Stephen Colbert explains how to ruin same-sex marriages

For instance, I was wondering whether I should celebrate with beer or a strong G&T, while others were wondering exactly how many ways they can argue that a judge doing his job was some sort of horrible travesty of justice. I know this for a fact, because I am some sort of masochist and went to the comment board on Fox News. That's how I found such charming gems as this:
I also found a lack of understanding about the US government, the US Constitution, the function of the Judiciary branch, and the system of checks and balances so profound it made me wonder if we should require people by law to take eighth-grade social studies again.
But I digress. The point is, if you're one of those people upset by Judge Walker's decision, what can you do now? Luckily for you, Stephen Colbert has the answer:

I always thought that the phrase "marriage penalty" was redundant.

maybe citizens should be required to take an annual civics exam to renew their citizenship, much like the exam immigrants must take to gain citizenship
