The Walking Dead

In a match made in horror heaven, Stephen King may write an episode of The Walking Dead. According to executive producer Frank Darabont, King, "has expressed enthusiastic interest for season two or possibly three." You might remember the series fired its entire writing staff at the end of its first season last year, so the possible addition of King is a stellar way to make a fresh start. But let's face it, the epically gory show about zombies isn't exactly being watched for its dialogue.

This wouldn't be the first time King worked with Darabont either. Darabont directed several film adaptations of King's novels, including The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Mist. Hmm, could the prison theme soon spill into the show (as it has in the comics it's based on)? We're dying (groan-worthy pun not intended) to find out.
