VH1 planning Canz, a reality show about busty waitresses

Working at Hooters is probably not too good for your sense of self-worth and human dignity. So I can only imagine that working at a Hooters knockoff called Canz is… worse. We'll soon find out, when VH1 begins airing Canz, a new reality show that takes a look behind the curtain at the Long Island sports bar. (Behind the curtain at Canz is where the magic happens, one assumes.)

TMZ, breaking this story, doesn't identify any major plotlines for the series, but Gothamist recently reported that Canz was locked in a running battle with… yes, a nearby Hooters. The lesser-known eatery apparently lured some twenty-five bosomy employees away from Hooters; one ex-Hooters waitress told the New York Post that Hooters made her and her coworkers "feel uncomfortable with [their] bodies." (Staggeringly, Canz seems to have been a step up in that regard.) Retaliating, Hooters waitresses were then spotted outside Canz, trying to win over would-be Canz customers. In other news, I am feeling stupider and stupider as this paragraph goes on. Line break!

Anyway, if VH1 doesn't pick up the Hooters-vs.-Canz plot, it'd make a great premise for an '80s slobs-vs-snobs exploitation flick, except that both sides are basically identical and all of the characters are busty women. Actually, that second part probably wouldn't be much of a concern. In conclusion, stay tuned for Canz if you must; I'll be crossing my fingers for a spinoff series set at Peoria, IL's popular Mammariez Bar and Grille.
