Watch Conan perform a gay marriage on his show

As planned, Conan O'Brien officiated a same-sex wedding on his show last night, capping off a week-long stint in New York. The ceremony, between Conan's costume designer Scott Cronick and Cronick's longtime partner David Gorshtein, took place onstage under a chuppah, after Cronick was walked down the aisle by Bravo's Andy Cohen.

In spite of all the spectacle, the actual ceremony is still genuinely moving, and may or may not have made me cry a little at my desk. Granted, that's not too hard to do, but still, a heartwarming way to start the weekend. Plus, besides being a first for the obvious reasons, this ceremony also marks the first time a talk-show wedding has held real emotional resonance. Everyone wins!
