Mattel and Hulu are teaming up to bring us Genuine Ken: The Search for the Great American Boyfriend. (Italicizing web-only shows feels as wrong as italicizing iPad-only newspapers.)
The reality-inflected show, which I'm already calling GenKen, will have the above men engage in various contests that will determine whether they have the sufficient athleticism, style, "entertainment side" (according to the clip, women are hugely entertained by backflips), and romantic skills to earn the title of Great American Boyfriend. To best do this, the narrator promises us that "there'll be some tough guest judges," apparently three white men with eerily similar haircuts and eyeglasses frames. Oh my God, wait: are they the real GenKens?
