Anonymous launches Anonymiss to lure lady hackers

Anonymous hackers flag.

Remember when 4Chan was, like, the scariest thing on the internet? Oh, what we didn't know; it turns out that Anonymous — the faceless group of hacker-crusaders tangentially related to 4Chan that regularly defends WikiLeaks and, just as regularly, attacks targets ranging from the Westboro Baptist Church to Gawker Media — is the real scourge of online villainy. But now the group is looking to amend not others but itself by introducing Anonymiss, "a campaign to encourage women to come on board."

Here's the fruit of their DIY copywriting:

Anonymiss hackers of Anonymous.

Look at that adorable little pantsuit! But will it be enough, ladies, to turn you into a hacker? Let us know in the comments.

'Anonymous' traffics in censorship. Censorship is the cowardly refuge of those who fear their own ideas can't compete with any opposition. The fact that the very best name they could come up with is 'Anonymous' says a lot.

I think you have anonymous confused with organized religion.

If a tree falls and no one is around to hear it and it lands on a woman, what is a tree doing in the kitchen?

Anon never attacked the Westboro Baptist Chruch. In the aftermath of the HBGary scandal, WBC published that "attack" letter themselves, and responded to it literally seconds later. Anon immediately... pointed out that they didn't publish the letter and proceeded to ignore the fuck out of WBC.
They did, however, viciously (nonviolently, successfully) attack Scientology. Maybe that's what you meant?

I love how this call to arms still comes from 4chan's deep misogyny. "You want to show that women are more courageous than men"...luckily these guys don't leave their houses that often to get in my way.
