Craiglist removes its adult section in Canada

After removing its erotic-services section in America last September, Craiglist followed suit in Canada and removed adult ads from all fifty-five of its sites, a strong move for the site usually associated with used furniture and, you know underage human sex trafficking. Craiglist's adult sections have also been banned in Europe, Asia, and Africa, so it's about time the site finally did away with the section.

Traffic numbers from November 2009 compared with November 2010 show Craigslist only suffered a ten-percent drop in Canada after removing its adult ads, which is pretty negligible when you consider that the drop the traffic could be from pretty much anything, like people actually going out and buying presents this year instead of hawking them on Craigslist.
