Facebook, Gap partnering to bring you pants

Man, Mark Zuckerberg is not a fan of Apple products. This and more was all revealed in yesterday's big Facebook Mobile press event, where Zuckerberg unveiled the new Facebook Deals application, slammed the iPad, introduced one-step sign-in, and pants! Free pants.

On November 5th, Gap is offering ten thousand pairs of free pants to the first ten thousand customers who check into a Gap location with Facebook Deals tomorrow. (Think Foursquare meets coupons.) This is all part of a new mobile sponsorship program that makes discounts available to the first however-many people log into certain retail outlets and finds these deals via Facebook. Of course, there's also the danger of roaming nonsecure wifi networks and getting your account hijacked, but deals! There are deals. There are also plans to introduce single-step sign-ins, which would automatically log you into Yelp, Groupon and others when you're logged into Facebook.

Whether you're down for all the seemingly fun, questionably secure new updates coming to Facebook, you're probably considering going to The Gap tomorrow, aren't you?
