Homophobic comment on gay rights blog traced to Republican Senator's headquarters

The internet is full of hate-mongering trolls. And when one of them left a nasty comment on Joe.My.God, a gay rights website, while maybe a bit bummed out, we weren't exactly shocked — until we learned where it came from.
The IP address of the comment in question ("All faggots must die" posted by the somewhat-homoerotically named "Jimmy") was traced to the Atlanta office of Georgia's Republican Senator Saxby Chambliss. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Sen. Chambliss confirmed that he is now investigating whether or not one of his staffer's did indeed leave the comment. However considering this is the same Senator who, in the words of Andrew Sullivan, has consistently voted "to oppose any and all legislation to grant gay men and lesbians basic civil rights," it seems unlikely that anything will result from his investigation.
The comment was left on a post regarding the failing cloture vote on Don't Ask Don't Tell. Not one Republican voted yes on the on the repeal, which would allow gays and lesbians to serve openly in the military.

yeah, I'm sure they're investigating this thing to the fullest extent.
All "basic civil rights"? I guess I missed the vote where Good Ol' Saxby wanted to strip the homosexuals of the freedom to bear arms.
Saxby Chambliss is the biggest piece of shit to come out of Georgia since Newt. He'll never lose, though, because his MO involves pandering to the absolute lowest common denominator and scaring hillbillies into thinking that roving bands of negras, Mexicans and homosexyalls are comin' for they guns and Bibles.
It would take all of 15 minutes to trace the connection to a specific computer on the internal network and the time stamp should tell you who it was -- if you were really interested in finding out that is.
I don't know what the big deal is, all faggots ARE going to die. Just as all heterosexuals must die.
Funny how it's always a "staffer" doing something our noble, elected leaders would never, ever condone...
You're the graetest! JMHO
