Fred Karger, the first openly gay Republic Presidential hopeful, revealed that today is the day that he officially hands in his candidate paperwork. I doubt highly that this will be met with anything but swift, dismissive opposition from the GOP, but it does signal some progress.

Have you ever had to console a friend recovering from being dumped? You probably told them exactly what Republicans are starting to say to Palin about the presidency. Ann Coulter, among others, has claimed that being president would be a "step down," implying, somehow, that Sarah Palin is too good to be President. 

Now for an update on the National Douchebag Tournament: there are only eight candidates left for the honor of being the biggest douche ever. Not surprisingly, my top choice, Glenn Beck, is destroying the competition.

Hilary Clinton will be stepping down as the Secretary of State at the end of Obama's first term as President. I, for one, will be sad to see her and her endless pantsuit collection go.
