Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York introduced the bill that would legalize gay marriage in the state of New York, and it is apparently one Republican vote away from having enough support to pass. This after the California ruling that legalized gay marriage in that state was again upheld in court.
Yesterday we shared Neil Patrick Harris' show-stopping (literally) Tonys rap, and today there is video of that number's writers fretting and composing the verses backstage. Neil Patrick Harris arrives in the last two minutes to rehearse, stumble over his lines, and generally clown around. The finale's success is even more amazing given how frenetically the whole thing appeared to come together.

A hearty (bacon turkey) Bravo!, to the Panera Bread store that instituted a "pay-what-you-want" model and is still thriving one year later. The store's owner says that about twenty percent of people pay less than their meals cost and twenty percent leave more. Maybe we should put this guy in charge of the Federal Budget.
