Rebecca Black’s “Friday” taken down from YouTube

Today will mark the first Friday in months free of the sounds of Rebecca Black: the thirteen-year-old's maligned single "Friday" has been taken down from YouTube, due to an unclear dispute between Black and her label, Ark Music Factory. 

Black is thought to have issued a takedown notice to the site after Ark started charging YouTube users $2.99 to "rent" the video, even though 167 million people had already viewed "Friday" for free. To ease the blow of this news — which came on a Friday, no less — take comfort in the fact that the acoustic version is still alive and well on YouTube:
