You may recall last year's SNL Digital Short, "The Curse," in which Jon Hamm's sax man torments Andy Samberg. Well, he seems to have been reincarnated in the person of Sergio Flores, who has shown up unannounced in various L.A. locations playing the same four bars from George Michael's "Careless Whisper" ad nauseum, dressed in leather pants with no shirt and suspenders, sporting his trademark shades and mullet. He even sat in with The Roots on a recent Late Night with Jimmy Fallon appearance, which means his fame meter has just passed the fourteen-minute mark.
In case you can't get Sexy Saxman Sergio to play your wedding (which you probably can, as well as a saxagram, judging by his Facebook page), you can still see him here, allowing security guards at the Westfield Plaza food court and Walmart to justify their paychecks, as well as spreading the love at a laundromat, a Citrus College bio class, a Covina High football game, and The Grove. Saxman Sergio has a pair of brass ones, to match his instrument. Might we be seeing a Sacha Baron Cohen movie in the future?
