Reddit's Ask-Me-Anything page is a place for all kinds of people under the sun: lion tamers, magicians, frustrated virgins, and celebrities. Today, Molly Ringwald appeased her fans by posting on the site and answering everything every Bender and Duckie wannabe has been dying to know since the 1980s.
Hi everyone. I'm Molly Ringwald. You probably know me from 'Sixteen Candles,' 'Breakfast Club' and 'Pretty in Pink.' Though I do lots of other things like write books, speak a little French and, until I started a Twitter account three days ago, raise three kids.
Molly talked about Judd Nelson's Method acting (which nearly got him fired by John Hughes), the famous cleavage-lipstick-application scene, and her favorite character on Mad Men. Spoiler alert: it's Peggy. Unlike other celebrity AMAs (ahem, Woody Harrelson), Ringwald answered her questions with ease and honesty. Hear that, America? Celebrities are like real people!
Some highlights include finding out that she did, in fact, apply lipstick with her cleavage in The Breakfast Club without the aid of prosthetics or '80s-era CGI and, of course, seeing this Etch-a-Sketch portrait by the Redditor who makes Etch-a-Sketch portraits of people.
We also found out that The Breakfast Club was her favorite movie of the Brat Pack canon, that she still runs into members of said Pack, and that she drinks the blood of Kristin Stewart to stay young.
For those of you who'd like to scroll through the 4,000-odd comments of Internet gold, feel free.
On the other hand, if you want to see how to make Woody Harrelson mad, you should probably check out his AMA instead.
