I came to read about the guy who mops out XXX video booths, stuck around to check out some of the "I tried it for Science" and chuckled at a handful of the features.
Then I read "Disingenue" and I was floored. That's some of the most biting and poignant bit of writing I've ever seen about Britney-- and pop music in general.
Well the whole sex thing is a touchy subject and there really is no good way for her to get out of it - it has fallen into the parents lie of where babies come from - I mean waht do you want parents to do show them the video of their conception or lie to them there really is no right answer- and in all honesty Britney is just going to have to quit and start over losing herself and never being as big as she is or play along with it and make the money she makes to bull shit everyone. It is afterall a business and I am just another single guy with that dirty school girl fantasy who watches her video on mute. I will admit she is a fantasy but everyone has them and she wouldn't be the worst of the liars about who she is- she probably doesn't even know. Sex is tricky- when you are in love it is the best thing in the world but after the love leaves you are left with that primative need of relief that drive is the libido and I am 22 so I am close to her age- and I find myself almost prisoner to my libido and it is hard to put sex out of your mind long enough to live and enjoy living- I am single so I have no choice now.-jayscrooge@hotmail.com

I am 61 and younger than Bob Dole but I know Spears as my granddaughter is a fan. Sure, she is a sexpot and a tease, but what else is new? An experience I never forgot and if I was a teen or in my early 20s now Spears would be in my fantasies, among others.
Funny, I was just wrestling with this issue the other day, not quite as intensely as this article does though. The social responsibility Britney picked up by her virginity claim is one big catch 22; come out and admit to sex and suffer the guff from the moms, or try and keep a shred of her career while still maintaining her virginity status. Either way, the future looks lamer than she already is, which makes me smile.
Talk about Britney causing guilty pleasures among young women, I'm not a fan of breast implants, but girls that are determined to get them shouldn't feel awkward about them because of someone involved with the most plastic people in the world.

After the success of American Pie 1 and 2, and now 40 Days and 40 Nights, what is the big deal about sex among the twenty to thirty year olds? This article was written by just another jealous middle aged woman whose youth has passed her by. That's the segment of the population most resentful of Britney Spears. Combine that with the fact that the writer has never had any morals as evidenced in her first paragraph. Those without morals also hate people like Britney who have them. Most of Britney's detractors have no morals themselves and cannot bring themselves to believe anyone else does.
The important things about Britney and Madonna are these:
1. Madonna loves Britney, wears Britney t-shirs and hates people who trash Britney, hence Madonna would hate the writer of this article.
2. Britney is the ONLY female artist to have her first 3 albums go to Number 1 and has outsold Madonna many times over, whether you compare album sales of the past 3 years or the first 3 years of each artist's career.
3. Britney isn't going anywhere, whether or not she has sex, or has had sex. As if that will "pop" her entire career, the most successful artist out there today.

Ms. Gabriele is quite obviously pining over her own lost and misspent youth by choosing to trash the most popular female star of today's youth. What impressed me about Gabriele's article is that she so eloquently addressed the issue of the mirage cultivated by Britney and her handlers for their adoring public, without ever touching on the equally vexing issue of her complete LACK of musical talent. Whatever this pop performer is guilty of it is a guilt no where near as great as your own. Your prose offends the intellect and the spirit. "Clusterfuck"....a writer who uses language so badly should not be allowed to invent words. Shouldn't an obvious mark like this young creation just be left alone?
I have to agree with the last person's comments. I tripped over the term "cluster fuck" and the poor writing. The entire point of this piece could have been summed up in one concise paragraph. We get it.
Just for the record... I dressed up much like Britney when I was 15. Wearing a micro-mini black leather skirt, spiked boots, and a lace camisole (Madonna influence, I was actually mistaken for a prostitute. I didn't lose my virginity until many years later. Sex is great. Wild, kinky sex is great. But emotionally, I wasn't ready. It might have been nice, as a teen, to have had a teen superstar talk about virginity. Maybe, I wouldn't have had the opposite feelings of ambivalence than the author. I often felt like my virginity was a weight hanging around my neck that made me different, and not in a good way, from the other girls. I finally "did it", because it was embarrassing being a college freshman and still having a cherry intact. In retrospect, I would have been better off waiting for a better reason.

I am 61 and younger than Bob Dole but I know Spears as my granddaughter is a fan. Sure, she is a sexpot and a tease, but what else is new? Funny, I was just wrestling with this issue the other day, not quite as intensely as this article does though. The social responsibility Britney picked up by her virginity claim is one big catch 22; come out and admit to sex and suffer the guff from the moms, or try and keep a shred of her career while still maintaining her virginity status. This article was written by just another jealous middle aged woman whose youth has passed her by. That's the segment of the population most resentful of Britney Spears. Combine that with the fact that the writer has never had any morals as evidenced in her first paragraph. Those without morals also hate people like Britney who have them. I have to agree with the last person's comments. I tripped over the term "cluster fuck" and the poor writing. The entire point of this piece could have been summed up in one concise paragraph. We get it.
Just for the record... I dressed up much like Britney when I was 15. Wearing a micro-mini black leather skirt, spiked boots, and a lace camisole (Madonna influence, I was actually mistaken for a prostitute. I didn't lose my virginity until many years later. Sex is great. Wild, kinky sex is great. But emotionally, I wasn't ready. It might have been nice, as a teen, to have had a teen superstar talk about virginity. Maybe, I wouldn't have had the opposite feelings of ambivalence than the author. I often felt like my virginity was a weight hanging around my neck that made me different, and not in a good way, from the other girls. I finally "did it", because it was embarrassing being a college freshman and still having a cherry intact. In retrospect, I would have been better off waiting for a better reason.
Now you say something
