This is brilliant, really. Sexiest was the couple looking for other couples. Have to wonder whose idea it was. I bet they have no trouble.

Fascinating stuff, beautifully presented. That young couple gives me new hope in Craigslist.

Roseanne guy is awesome. Great concept-reading craigslist ads I always wonder

Wow- this is cool, poignant stuff. Thanks for making and sharing this work.

HB commented on 07/02

Bummer, thought it would be a in depth, realistic story of how the vast majority of listings in these sections are really just spammers or dudes looking to get images. oh well.

BA commented on 07/02

This is amazing. I always wonder who the people are behind those ads and now I see what some of these people look like.

lr commented on 07/02

Brilliant and fresh. Thanks!

PMH commented on 07/02

to you whom are indeed beautiful. While I love the fact that you can forget you are beautiful, I will never, ever forget how beautiful you are.

God bless America sometimes, y'know what I'm sayin?! That was awesome. Thank you!

jw commented on 07/03

very cool. you know, it's funny, but I'm often surprised at who I meet when buying/selling/apartment hunting on craigslist. for some reason i'm always afraid that they'll be real weirdoes or crazy, but they almost never are. these photos reinforce that even the freakiest sounding people can pass as surprisingly normal in person. love it! thanks for the reminder that we're all human.

this article is way cool ....it good way to bring a face to craiglist ads

I discovered CL quite by accident about 4 years ago. I have since used it extensively, and currently drive 2 vehicles found there, live in a house found there, and have bought and sold more items than I can keep track of through CL. It is now a daily habit, as the personals provide much amusing entertainment.

brg commented on 07/06

Awesome story. Everyone featured here is refreshingly honest. Especially love "seeking 2 men", "wannabe sub", "young bi" and "to you whom." However, the photo of "tattooed hottie" is a classic - I love the expression on both girls' faces.

jsh commented on 07/06

Amazing concept brought to life in a refreshingly honest way. It's good to see that ACTUAL PEOPLE actually use the site. Dear Bi Couple: I want you. Bad.

CVK commented on 07/07

I have to wonder if the photog snapped 400 people and picked the most normal of the bunch in the end, lol. Most of the people I've met through CL are pretty normal though, so it's conceivable that this really is a cross-section, albeit a very young cross-section.

ihm commented on 07/11

loved it. loved it so much. especially the last girl. you are beautiful. great message there, too. i agree :)

AM commented on 07/11

I know the underwear guy, weird!

AK commented on 07/12

The pictures are all brilliant, but this last one "to you whom smiled at me", it all just fits. Beautiful girl, beautiful prose.
