I am so happy that people recognize that Charlene Yi is about as funny as a train wreck. The fact that this makes me happy is probably cause for concern.
I saw John Mulaney at a comedy show (with some big hitters like Arj Barker, David Cross, Louis CK and Sarah Silverman). He was the youngest and the first one on. I talked to a bunch of friends after the show and everyone agreed how awesome he was - truly funny and way better than Sarah Silverman by far.
Nobody here that is really under the radar, except for maybe John Mulvaney. And Charlene Yi is just terrible. Paper Heart was probably as bad as watching a Dane Cook movie.
Yes, Eugene Mirman is brilliant! Love all of these choices - David Cross has been slaying me since before Arrested Development, but what a force he was in that show! Cannot get enough Aziz either - sexy, too!

As someone who is into comedy, most of these names are familiar to me. I would have added Maria Bamford, Marc Maron and Doug Stanhope.
