The notorious B.O.B., a fixture of downtown Manhattan nightlife, became a burlesque performer after a stint as a male impersonator. Hardly surprising, considering that both occupations involve dismantling and dismissing cookie-cutter sexuality. As B.O.B. herself puts it, "I consider burlesque a celebration of sexuality, and each dancer puts her own spin on it. There's so much more to burlesque than just sex — but there's so much more to sex than just sex, too."
