I think this is my favourite gallery of all on Nerve. Best use of black and white film I've seen in a very, very long time. I feel honoured to have been allowed to be a voyeur to this extraordinarily intimate scene.
I don't mean to offend anyone, but looking at some of these photos, I fail to see originality in some of them. In fact I see some too many similarities to Larry Clark photos. In particular, the tub shots. Again, I'm sorry if I offend anyone. Maybe it just goes with that old saying, "....is the best form of flattery".
I just didn't get the whole thing. Nothing erotic about a hairy guy in a dirty bathroom. I did like the way she is clinging to him in the last pic. That part seemed loving, but it wasn't the room or the photography, it was the model herself.
OK the intemacy is nice but the scenery is so ugly. I wanted to like them but the dark lighting and the hideous spots on the bathroom porcelin really gave me the creeps. Peeling paint and old nasty bathrooms really kill the mood for me. Sorry.
i saw these photos quite a while back...but each time i return i have to see them again...i adore them...the intimacy, the sensuality , the blatantly obvious love that emanates from these two beings is almost divine... as well as that certain eroticism derived from the feeling of claustrophobia....it is simply a lovely collection.

many photos that i've seen at nerve.com are erotic and creative and show the beauty of emotion and human form. these photos also show a certain passion and emotion that is missing from other photos that i have seen. well done :)

I actually found this very sexy. Maybe becasue I've just started to get into a long term realtionship again after a three year hiatus. For me these pictures are about the real, interactive, internal focus of loving sex. Somehow by the lover's concentraction on each other I am brought deeper into the shot than if they were more explicitly aware of the camera. In typical porn the sexual tension is so staged and simplistic it feels too clean for me. These shots are intense, they almost smell, they're about giving and recieiving, and they're sexier than almost any porn I've ever seen: porn for people who are in love? Thanks for the reminder.

I too am an aspiring photographer with a growing portfolio.A lot of my work centers around my wife as well, and i have often read of the relationships between say the likes Steigltz and O'keefe.
