anyone who didn't like this definitely didn't go to overnight camp, or at least wasn't one of the cool kids! Not only was this an excellent portrayal of camp, but I thought the story telling and inuendo was great, such as the knots, pitching a tent, and more. Very clever, and erotic too. Yes, I am male, but I never knew there were so many nerve feminists who can't appreciate erotica, regardless of politics. And, yes, while I am a marketing professional, I totally appreciated the fake "advertising" twist of this photo spread. I am not familiar with, nor do I remember any of the brands, but I DO remember the cleverness and appreciated it very much! BooHoo to all you nay sayers. Oh, and if you were one of the cool camp kids who identified with this spread (and you're 21-27), feel free to IM me on aol "wannano" to reminisce.
A great homage to 70's summer camp when everyone was horny and concerned with their hair. Reminds me of the film Little Darlings. Makes me wish I had a time machine and could go back to 1979 and make out with Matt Dillon. Lauren Carley has a good eye and a great future ahead of her.
Another photostory strictly for the male gaze. Could have been great (loved the idea of a parody of A&F), instead we get no male nudity. Are there no female photographers who view the male (all of him) as a visual sex object?
The 2 women/1 man menage is beyond cliche and demeans women, as does the lesbianism. It's bad enough to get this crap from a male photographer, but it is especially insulting to get this sexist stuff from a woman. ARGHHH!
Could have been good but it was more of a vehicle for adverstising. Use non-models and show more skin and the concept of boys and girls at camp could be good.
incredibly stupid and not well done...lacks everything that goes into good photographs. So stilted, so staged...hand in your camera. You fail the course.
Note to PA: most of the kids understand both sarcasm and parody, but recognize the difference between funny, biting parody and sarcasm and lame/tame attempts at both.
Dear Lorelei. STOP. Had a great time at camp. STOP. Only bad part was that some of the kids don't understand sarcasm. PAUSE. Or parody. STOP. Next summer, let's go diving at that bushy grotto. (won't)STOP. BFF-yours.

Let me guess, you shot this for Redbook and they refused it?
Trite, pre-pubescent consciousness, skanky.

this is just stupid. Judging by the blatent advertising, I'm guessing Old Navy came up with this idea? Way to be Un-funny AND sexist, Old Navy!
This is exactly why I don't shop at their store. :P
It gave new meaning to the word 3some!
Dear Lauren & Laurel:
Thanks a lot for this sexist photo-trash and text for men. You've done our gender proud.

I thought it was really cute. A bit tame, but that's okay because it leaves more to the imagination. ;)
Awwww... I thought it was silly. Lighten up, people.

On the whole too tame and, hence, very disappointing.
Really lame.
my god, this looks like cheesy 70's-era porn.
This kinda looks like this was shot for some GAP advertisment.
