I really liked the spontaneity and fun that people at the NERVE birthday party displayed. If Katrina has some jucier shots, would she consider putting them in the "Members' Only" section? "Do it in the road," as John Lennon used to say.
I really enjoyed this series of pictures. In the world of extremes from prudish to sexual acts beyond belief it is almost amazing to see photographs of people just doing whatever comes sponteineously. I feel one of the most beautiful things is two females in an embrace or kiss. This seems to be a highly avoided or overlooked area of photography. These picture involving women were probably the most moving pictures I have seen in a long while. All I have seen recently is usually extremely staged and acted like a script. These pictures achieve their power from the spur of the moment happenings. I would love to see more.

Wish I could have been at your party with my girlfriend, even though I am 65. Young at heart. You should have some photos of seniors doing their thing. That would be different. Marshall
hat I like about these pictures - what I liked about them even before the gallery went up and I figured out what they were - is that they are of more-or-less normal people, but they're being very sexy. There seems to be some kind of assumption that an erotic picture has to be somehow unreal or highly stylized. These pictures actually work more for me because most of my sex has, naturally, been with more-or-less normal people, wearing (or removing) normal clothes, and in normal surroundings - by association this is much more erotic than an airbrushed starlet on satin sheets. The occasional glimpse of a bottle of Rolling Rock in the corner also slammed my erotic memory back to those heady college days... I've noticed that the pcitures-of-the-day you've shown over the last week or so are among the first you've shown that depict actual sexual acts - I think it's good that this is coming from your own staff party. I commend your bravery! And, last but not least, your office parties seem much more fun than mine! Who does your catering?

Do you guys actually think this is good photography, or are we supposed to just to laugh at it? With all the excellent photographers out there shooting the human figure, you sure are giving this one a lot of play... just can't figure out why.
Great stuff and quite refreshing for this dog-days of summer. I love your work, your daring effort and the diversity of contents of Nerve. My only complaint is that I'm still waiting for my invite to arrive, I'm sure it was lost in the m was lost in the mail.
I love this exhibit. I have been a long time reader of nerve (nervemag.com) and am always pleasantly surprised when looking at the newest editions to the photo sections. being involved with photography, I have the utmost respect for those who can and have the nerve (no pun) to capture that beautiful person image that always seemed to elude me. The recent Katrina Del Mar is at times both beautifully voyeuristic and a great example of what people are willing to do if given the outlet. Thanks for the years of great viewing, and am looking for more cutting edge images by the countrie's best ne photographers. Da
