After looking at the gallery, it reminded me of that American Pie scene when he was tryig to get porn on cable and got a blurred picture. It reminded me that as humans we try to find things we weren't supposed to see.
It brought back a lot of memories. I would have never thought of it as a work of art until I looked at it. It might be something that I would love to post on my walls
Once I looked over this series followed by tha story behind it, I simply jus laughed. Why, well one callin this art, let alone a term for this quick glimpse of distorted sounds and images of porn as one who's surfin/flippin through tha channels of their basic cable is jus a crack up. Tha name/title of this and who ever came up with the term "Picasso Porn" ...mass props. Very creative. As for tha artist behind this series, hella interesting how you decided to create a series of this ...interestin yet funny.dannyC
However, not to be picky, but if the images are from cable TV as he purports, he has no ability to copyright them. He must own the copyright on the underlying material (original video) in order to copyright his images.
I'm curios to know more about Smith's technique. Is he photographing a television set or is he photographing models and then digitally manipulating those images to imitate a scrambled porn channel?
I think I'm one of thousands who went through this as well. I love the idea, and got a big kick out of the gallery. I think another generation is experiencing the same thing in a different way. Its called the net.
Ladies, Nerve wants to see your best imitation of that elusive natural wonder: the male orgasm. Submit your video to submissions@nerve.com with the subject "The Big O" for a chance to be on NerveTV.

I just have to turn my TV to playboy or whatever to see the same thing. What's the point!?
This is such a part of my childhood, I cant help but love this series of work. #9 and #11 (from top to bottom) are the top choice for me.
